Kate Palma-de Jesus
Dr. Ana Katrina de Jesus is passionate about innovations in communication and education rooted in two decades of teaching experience and a play-based philosophy. As an expert in reframing teacher-student-space relationships, she is adept in the following:
- Curriculum development and delivery in various Communication fields
- Design and implementation of play-based learning experiences
- Reflexive dialogue and learner engagement strategies
- Research and insights on theater in education and learning design
Currently an Assistant Professor 7 at the Communication Division, Department of Humanities, University of the Philippines Los Baños. Her expertise extends to creating transformative learning experiences in both institutional and non-formal educational settings
Through Balaiwari Immersive and Gamified Experiences, a creative studio she co-founded, Dr. Kate focuses on human-centered design, utilizing theater and performing arts to create immersive and gamified experiences.
Overall, Dr. Kate is dedicated to inspiring and empowering learners of all ages and backgrounds, helping them discover their potential, express their creativity, and engage with their communities through play-based methodologies.
